Canadian Pat Brown’s gay mystery, L. A. HEAT was published by Alyson Publications in 2006 and we’re all still celebrating. In the novel, computer whiz Christopher Bellamere’s lovers are stalked by a killer as Detective Eric Laine -- himself deep in the closet and convinced of Chris’s guilt -- ominously begins to fall for his prime suspect. She’s at work on her next novel.  Pat once had a passion for Science Fiction.  Now it’s mystery all the way.
